# Printed list

Ordered and unordered lists with engraved markers in place of the browser’s bullets: a small sunk dot, or a printed step number.

## Dots and numbers

- Scoped to one run
- Dies when the run ends
- Never written to disk
- Choose the events.
- Copy the signing secret.
- Save and watch for the test.

```
<ul class="tui-bullets" role="list">
  <li>Scoped to one run</li>
</ul>
<ol class="tui-bullets">
  <li>Choose the events.</li>
</ol>
```

Keep `role="list"` on a `ul`: Safari stops announcing a list once its bullets are taken away. An `ol` keeps its numbers for a screen reader on its own.

## Rules

- Numbers only where the order matters: steps, a ranking.
- Items in the same grammar, each a phrase or each a sentence.

## The full law

This page is a summary in plain words. The brain holds the law itself, in `printing.md`, written for an agent to follow. It ships with the Kit.
